| Here is a picture of the OEM Thermostat that came in my engine. 


It is "modified" so APPARENTLY the car runs cooler. My understanding is that some coolant will always be running through the radiator. I dont see many benefits to this (maybe flows more coolant when the thermostat is open), but one disadvantage i see if the car would probably take a long time to warm up, since the thermostat is never fully closed. I am going to replace it with a new OEM thermostat anyways, I just wanted to get the general consensus of what people think of it. Thanks!
